The title says it all. Last year I started the 2007 NBA finals board. All NBA fans remember the way the Suns Spurs series went last year. To this day the Suns feel they've been robbed of a championship trofy. Nonetheless, they remain the best team in the west, and look prepared to contend for the title again this year. For the last few years, critics have been saying the Suns run and gun style will never win a title. After three years of resisting, the Suns answered by bringing the Shack Attack from Miami to play the center position. In order to do this they gave up the Matrix, Sean Marion, and reserve guard Marcus Banks. Let's talk about the trade, and anything Suns and NBA related. Ok, fasten your seat belts, and enjoy the ride!
Wow, this might not become a forum, but rather a blog, lol. Anyhow, we've seen the Shack attack in two games. The first game displayed an offensive burst by the Suns and Lakers, oh yes, and a little guy known as Kobe Bryant, ever heard of him? He blew up for 41 points, just a normal game in the life of this super star. Needless to say, Shack showed his muscle, made an impact, but the Suns still lost, in what was a high scoring action packed duel in the west. The second game took place in Phoenix, and offered a trio of super stars of its own. Kg AKA the big ticket, Ray Allen, and Paul pierce form the big three in Boston. Once again the US Airways center in Phoenix was packed with fans anticipating a night filled with action, and they weren't denied. The question lingered throughout ESPN and other sports reporters, can the Suns play the half court game? That was answered last Friday night with a fast break, grind it out, strong deffensive fest game, and a Suns win! Shack did little on offense this time, 4 points, but he through his hands out for 14 rebounds, and actually pulled off the pick and roll much better with Steve Nash. Amare Stoudemire again showed his comfort level in the power forward position, collecting 27 points, oh, and a technical foul. Stat and KG were at it the entire night, it sure made basketball fun again, a good clean trash talk, unlike the brawl a few years back in the east. All and all a good win. Oh, and we can't forget King James who carried Cleveland to a one point victory over the wizards, 90 to 89. Cleveland played without four of its recently aquired through trade players tonight. In fact, in order to meet NBA guidelines, they had to sign 2 players from the developmental league. They hardly were needed though, King James and Damond Jones combined for sixty + points, not bad eh? Well, maybe I should start a blog, until then, its been a pleasure writing you, jump ball!
